Margarita Steinberg works at the University of Sussex, but in real life she is a Tango teacher. She has been dancing for 20 years, initially ballroom, then salsa and Egyptian, and for the last 15 years Argentine Tango. Margarita was born in Russia and has lived in the UK since she was 16. After University, she trained as a Shiatsu practitioner. Her other interests include improvisational acting and psychology.

For her, Tango has become a way of approaching the dance of life: gently and with relish!
Tango has held a fascination for generations of dancers and music-lovers, and is enjoying a Third Golden Age – once again on a world-wide scale! This talk gives a flavour of Tango enthralling people of all ages and nationalities, and being re-discovered as a source of healing and a powerful medium of communication for the 21st century.
The talk will include a demo dance with Gareth Lucking, an accomplished Brighton-based Argentine Tango dancer.
